Astigmatism occurs when the cornea or lens has an irregular curvature, causing blurred or distorted vision at all distances. Correcting it with a contact lens requires a toric design — one that incorporates both a spherical power and a cylindrical correction at a specific axis, and crucially, stays precisely oriented on the eye throughout the day. The ACUVUE® OASYS MAX 1-Day for Astigmatism achieves this through BLINK STABILIZED® Design, keeping the lens correctly positioned with every blink, head movement, and change of gaze direction.
✦ ACUVUE® OASYS MAX 1-Day for Astigmatism is the only daily toric lens combining BLINK STABILIZED® orientation stability, TearStable™ moisture technology, OptiBlue™ blue-violet light filtering, and Class 1 UV protection — an unmatched combination for astigmatism wearers.

A toric lens prescription contains three parameters that a standard spherical lens prescription does not. Before ordering, confirm all three values with your eye care professional.
Your prescription will show values for both eyes — right eye as OD, left eye as OS. Each eye will have its own SPH, CYL, and AXIS values. When ordering at contactlens365.com, enter each eye's parameters separately exactly as written on your prescription. If your CYL value or axis does not match an available option, your eye doctor will advise the closest appropriate substitute.
Astigmatism is one of the most common refractive conditions, affecting roughly one in three people to some degree. It occurs when the cornea or the natural lens of the eye has an oblong rather than perfectly spherical shape — like a rugby ball rather than a football. This causes light entering the eye to focus at two different points instead of one, resulting in blurred or distorted vision at all distances. Unlike myopia or hyperopia, astigmatism cannot be corrected with a standard spherical lens — a toric lens is required.
For a toric lens to correct astigmatism accurately, it must stay orientated at precisely the prescribed axis angle throughout the day. Any rotation — even a few degrees — will reduce the quality of vision correction. BLINK STABILIZED® Design uses four carefully engineered stabilisation zones that work with the natural blink action to consistently re-orient the lens, making it one of the most reliably stable daily toric designs available.
💡 Screen use tip: Blink frequency drops during screen work, which can reduce tear film stability and temporarily affect toric lens orientation. Apply the 20-20-20 rule — every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Ask your eye doctor about compatible lubricating drops if needed.
No. As a daily disposable lens, no cleaning solution or storage case is required. Open a fresh blister each morning and discard the lens at the end of the day.
A toric prescription includes three additional parameters: Cylinder (CYL) for the astigmatism power, Axis for the orientation angle, and the standard Sphere (SPH) for distance correction. All three values are needed to order correctly — check your prescription carefully.
A 30-lens box covers approximately one month for one eye. Two boxes — one per eye — are required for a full month of daily wear in both eyes.
The available CYL values are –0.75, –1.25, –1.75, and –2.25 D, with axis from 10° to 180° in 10° steps. If your prescription falls between these values, your eye doctor will recommend the best match. Never self-substitute — always follow professional guidance.
BLINK STABILIZED® Design is engineered specifically to prevent unwanted rotation. Four stabilisation zones interact with the eyelid during each blink to consistently re-orient the lens to its correct axis position — even during physical activity or changes in gaze direction.
No. All contact lenses should be removed before swimming, showering, or entering a hot tub. Water exposure — including tap water — substantially raises the risk of serious eye infection.

Unless your eye doctor has specifically approved extended wear, do not sleep in contact lenses. Doing so significantly increases the risk of infection and corneal damage.
