The ACUVUE® OASYS 1-Day for Astigmatism was developed to resolve the central challenge of daily toric lenses: orientation stability. While monthly toric lenses can rely on the weight and thickness distribution of a larger lens to maintain axis position, daily lenses — which are thinner and lighter — require a more deliberate design solution. BLINK STABILIZED® Design uses four peripheral stabilisation zones that work with the natural mechanics of the blink to actively re-orient the lens to its correct axis position with every blink. This means that even after prolonged downward gaze (such as reading or screen work), rapid head movement, or physical activity, the lens returns consistently to the prescribed axis angle within a blink or two.
HydraLuxe® Technology addresses the tear film disruption that toric lens wear can introduce. The stabilisation geometry of a toric lens modifies how the eyelid interacts with the lens surface during blinking — and this altered lid-lens dynamic can affect tear film stability. HydraLuxe® incorporates tear-like molecules that integrate directly with the natural tear film layers, providing active reinforcement of the mucin-like and aqueous components and maintaining lens surface wettability throughout the full wearing day. The result is a daily toric lens that users describe as comfortable from morning to evening — not just for the first few hours.
