The TOTAL30® is not an incremental improvement on existing lens technology — it is a fundamentally different approach to how a silicone hydrogel lens is constructed. The Lehfilcon A material uses a Water Gradient design: the core of the lens is a high-performance silicone hydrogel for oxygen delivery, but the surface transitions progressively to a near-100% water composition.
