A toric lens prescription contains three parameters beyond what a standard spherical lens requires. All three must be entered correctly when ordering — confirm each value with your eye care professional before placing your order.
Your toric prescription will show values for both eyes — right eye as OD, left eye as OS. Each eye will have its own SPH, CYL, and AXIS values. When ordering at contactlens365.com, enter each eye's parameters separately as shown on your prescription. If your CYL value or axis falls between available options, your eye care professional will advise the most appropriate substitute — never self-substitute toric parameters.
Astigmatism occurs when the cornea or natural lens of the eye is shaped more like a rugby ball than a sphere — causing light to focus at two different points rather than one, resulting in blurred or distorted vision at all distances. It is one of the most common refractive conditions and cannot be corrected by a standard spherical lens. A toric design incorporates both a spherical power and a cylindrical correction at a precise axis angle — and must stay in that orientation on the eye throughout wear.
💡 Toric lens tip: If vision becomes transiently blurred during the day — particularly after prolonged downward gaze or screen work — blink firmly a few times to allow the stabilisation design to re-seat the lens. If blurring is frequent or persistent, consult your eye care professional to confirm the lens is fitting correctly.
After each use, rub both surfaces with multipurpose contact lens solution for at least 5 seconds per side, rinse thoroughly, and store in a clean lens case filled with fresh solution. Never use tap water, saline, or saliva to clean or store lenses.
A toric prescription includes Cylinder (CYL) and Axis values in addition to the standard Sphere (SPH). These three parameters together define the full correction for astigmatism. All three values are needed to order correctly — check your prescription with your eye care professional before ordering.
A 6-lens box covers approximately 3 months for one eye (one lens per month). Two boxes — one per eye — provide 3 months of full daily wear for both eyes.
